Coachwhip (Masticophis flagellum) found and photographed by Gary Fowler of Bulloch County, Georgia.

Gary tells us, “I drove in my driveway during the summer and saw this thing sticking out of the shrub. As I got closer I realized it was a snake. I parked, ran in and got my camera, took a couple of shots, ran back in to change lenses, and took several more. When I went back in the house the ‘periscope’ was still up. It was a unique experience.”
