The Spotted Turtle nesting season is underway in Georgia, and an important component of our current research is taking females to get x-rays a couple times throughout the duration of the project. This lets us know which turtles are gravid and how many eggs they’re carrying. Check out this month’s episode of Fieldnotes to get a behind the scenes look at this process!
